Dan Simmons’ Novel Flashback To Become a TV Series

Dan Simmons is an interesting and diverse fantasy/sci-fi author who has been around for awhile but his works are just starting to be adapted. His 2007 novel The Terror is already being adapted as a TV series that is premiering on AMC on March 26th. And now, his 2011 novel Flashback is going to be adapted into a TV series. It’s uncertain if it will play on AMC as well.

Set in near-future Los Angeles with a society ruled by the mysterious hyper-addictive drug “Flashback”, a former police detective is offered as much of the drug as he wants. The catch is he has to use it to solve a long-forgotten murder…one that could reveal the truth of the drug’s origin.

The show is set to be penned by Ben Ketai, creator of the show StartUp. He will be producing it alongside Critical Content and Hollywood Gang. In addition, Ketai will executive produce alongside Gianni Nunnari, Tom Forman, Ray Ricord, and Shannon Gaulding. Stay tuned!
