“GLOW” Renewed for Season 2

Netflix’s “GLOW” had it’s first season highly praised. Dealing with a fictionalization of the characters and gimmicks of the 1980’s syndicated women’s professional wrestling circuit known the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (or GLOW), the show found an audience. Irony, the only people who didn’t seem to like it were the women it was based on with many noting many of the characters, fictionalized or not, were contrast to many of the people the story was based on (Namely many of the women felt the character Sam Sylvia being a stark contrast to original GLOW director Matt Cimber). Still, the misinterpretations aside, this hasn’t stopped the show from being renewed for a second season of 10 episodes. So, if you enjoyed the campy tone and the ensemble cast, prepare for another round. Stay tuned!

  1. I watched that new show Mr. Mercedes. It was pretty awesome. It’s made by some obscure AT&T channel that’s associated with Direct TV. This same channel made the show Kingdom which was one of the best shows on television that no one ever heard of because no one gets that damn channel. This new show had awesome writing and awesome acting. Top notch.

So I know it’s possible to make a good show. All of the pilot season promos look like complete shit. Warner Bros is spending 25 million on reshoots to fix a complete clusterfuck called the Jusice League. The new Han Solo movie is a complete clusterfuck. How did all of the major studios and networks get so fucking bad at their job? Was it nepotism on some massive scale? Most shows on the major networks are complete dogshit. Then some unknown channel that no one seems to have gets Brendan Gleeson for a TV show. And it’s an awesome show so far. Killer first episode.

  2. The only network shows that are watchable at all are The Blacklist, because of James Spader, Chicago PD, because sometimes it can be as good as Homicide or NYPD Blue, Elementary, because of Jonny Lee Miller, and Arrow, because for a comic book TV series, it’s made well.

But everything else is just trash.
